check out this best features of celica!!

==Toyota Celica’s 140kW engine has won its class in the prestigious International Engine of the Year Awards 2002.

==The 1.8-litre VVTL-i equipped Toyota power plant was named best 1.4 to 1.8 litre engine at the recent awards ceremony in Stuttgart, Germany.

==Two Toyota engines were named in the top four of the 1.4 to 1.8 litre segment – the sports Celica engine and the 1.5 litre VVTi-equipped Prius engine.

==The Celica engine won the segment ahead of BMW 316i’s 1.8 litre Valvetronic engine, Ford Focus’ 1.8 litre TDCi diesel, the Prius engine and Volkswagen’s 1.8 litre turbo (used in Audi S3, TT and SEAT Leon).

==The Toyota engine’s winning features included its high power per litre (106.7 bhp/litre compared with the 103.3 bhp/litre of the exotic McLaren F1) and its use of variable valve timing and variable valve lift.

==When launched in 1999, the 2ZZ-GE was Toyota’s first naturally aspirated engine to exceed 100bhp/litre.

==>>>>"This Toyota engine has great power and torque, extraordinary performance, and exciting delivery with reasonable fuel consumption," said Diego Eramo of Auto.

====>>>>"In short, the 1.8 litre VVTL-I is a successful challenge to the majestic Honda VTEC."

==Graham Johnson of Engine Technology International praised the Celica engine as suiting the enthusiast without wasting resources.

=="A real winner for the enthusiast driver, this 1.8 litre offers an excellent performance to fuel economy ratio," he said.

==The 2ZZ-GE engine has a dual-profile camshaft design, with a low-speed and high-speed setting.

==This allows the engine to deliver ultra-thrifty economy or, when the high-lift camshaft cuts in above 6000rpm, to deliver 140kW performance.

==The lift-cam cam lobes increase intake valve lift by 54 percent and exhaust valve lift by 38 percent.

==Toyota’s new generation Celica was designed at Toyota’s Calty design studio in California.

==Australian specification Celica has 140kW of power at 7600rpm and 180Nm of torque at 6800rpm, with 9.0 litre/100km (31.3mpg) fuel economy on the AS2877 city cycle.

==Two equipment levels are offered (SX and ZR), each with the choice of six-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission with E-shift.

==All models have dual SRS airbags with force-limiting front seatbelt pretensioners, CD player with six speakers, alloy wheels with V-speed rated tyres, remote central locking and power windows.
